Admissions

Securing a place for your child

Our admissions process is built to be straightforward, with four clear steps from first enquiry to your child's first day.

01

Enquire

Submit an enquiry form or call the admissions office to confirm space is available for the grade you need. You can download the 2027 application form to complete in advance.

02

Visit

Tour the campus with the admissions team, meet the relevant grade teacher, and see a typical classroom in session.

03

Assess

Children entering Grade 1 and above complete a short placement assessment in literacy and numeracy.

04

Enrol

Once offered a place, complete enrolment paperwork and registration fee to confirm the seat for the new term.

Entry requirements

Royal Kids accepts new pupils into any grade, subject to space being available. Reception requires a child to turn four years old by the end of April in their first year. Grade 1 admission requires the child to turn six by the end of April.

  • Certified copy of the child's birth certificate
  • Most recent school report, for transfers into Grade 1 and above

Placement assessment

Children entering Grade 1 or above sit a short, informal assessment covering basic literacy and numeracy appropriate to their age. The purpose is to place each child in the right class group, not to filter applicants, and the assessment is not scored on a pass or fail basis.

Fees and payment

For the most up to date fee structure, please contact the school directly. An injury/indemnity form is also required at the time of enrolment and can be collected from the front office.

Uniform and supplies

Full school uniform is required from the first day of attendance. The uniform supplier operates from the school premises every Wednesday afternoon during term, and a full price list is provided at enrolment. A stationery list specific to each grade is issued in the welcome pack.

Frequently Asked

Questions parents often ask

Is there a waiting list for Reception?

Yes, during peak years. We recommend enquiring at least a year ahead of the intended start date, particularly for Reception and Grade 1.

Do you offer transport?

Yes. Royal Kids Private School offers transport to and from school. We have school buses available for learners. Contact the front office for routes and arrangements.

Can my child join mid-year?

Mid-year admission is possible where space allows. The same placement assessment applies for Grade 1 and above, regardless of the time of year.

What is the school's policy on extra lessons or tutoring?

Teachers are available for a brief consultation by appointment. Where a child needs more sustained additional support, we will discuss this directly with the parent and can recommend independent tutors familiar with our curriculum.
