A grounded education for young minds in Windhoek
Royal Kids Private School pairs a structured academic programme with small class sizes and close attention to every child, so families can trust the foundation we are building together.
What we mean by a grounded education
Three commitments sit behind every lesson plan, every report card, and every conversation we have with a parent.
Academic Discipline
A structured curriculum with clear standards at every grade, regular assessment, and teachers who know exactly where each child stands and what comes next.
Individual Attention
Class sizes kept deliberately small, so a child who is struggling is noticed in week one, not in the third term, and a child who is ready can be stretched further.
Character Formation
Manners, responsibility, and respect are taught as deliberately as mathematics, through a daily routine that gives children structure they can rely on.
Three phases, one continuous path
Pre-Primary
Reception and Grade 0 build the habits that carry a child through school: listening, following instructions, holding a pencil correctly, and working alongside classmates.
- Phonics and early literacy
- Number sense and counting
- Fine motor and handwriting readiness
Lower Primary
Reading, writing, and arithmetic form the core of Lower Primary, with a focus on building a positive, can-do mindset and the habits of independent, accountable learning.
- Daily reading and comprehension
- Weekly mental mathematics
- Afrikaans, French, and Information Technology
Upper Primary
Independence, personal responsibility, and resilience are deliberately developed through Upper Primary, culminating in the Grade 7 Learning for Life Leadership Programme.
- Natural Sciences, Social Studies, and Elementary Agriculture
- Formal end-of-term examinations
- Learning for Life Leadership Programme

Assess
Children entering Grade 1 and above complete a short placement assessment in literacy and numeracy.
Enrol
Once offered a place, complete enrolment paperwork and registration fee to confirm the seat for the new term.
What families say after their first year
My son struggled with reading at his previous school. Within two terms at Royal Kids, his teacher had identified exactly where the gap was and closed it. The communication has been constant and specific, never vague.
What sold us was not the brochure, it was the visit. We sat in on an actual lesson and watched how the teacher managed the class. That is the kind of thing you cannot fake.
Three of our children have gone through Royal Kids now. The consistency from one to the next, same standards, same structure, is exactly why we never considered moving them elsewhere.
